The Royal Rumble
We already know that Roman Reigns will be facing Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble, with Owens’ Universal Championship on the line. We also know that Goldberg will be one of the thirty men to take part in the actual Rumble match itself.
The best way to have them eventually collide could be to have Reigns win the title from Owens, then in some way have Goldberg eliminated from the Rumble, most likely by Lesnar. But if that was to happen (then have a SmackDown guy win the Rumble), you would still have to piece together how to get Reigns vs Goldberg at ‘Mania.
Let’s not forget in this scenario that Reigns will be Universal Champion, and if a SmackDown guy wins the Rumble then Reigns will have no realistic competitor for WrestleMania night.
To get to the point where Reigns needs to face Goldberg, then you need to have Lesnar and Goldberg be in the final few competitors in the Rumble. You have Lesnar eliminate Goldberg, then have Goldberg cause Lesnar to be eliminated from outside the ring and allow the SmackDown guy to win the match in the process. All that would lead us towards, the Raw brand specific pay-per-view, FastLane in early March.
