So here we are. After months of buildup, we have finally made it to WrestleMania 33. Inside the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, tens of thousands of fans are awaiting the biggest show of the year for WWE.
Whilst this match wouldn’t be a six star classic on the Meltzer scale, it would be enough of a spectacle to sell tickets to that enormous stadium. It’s a battle of one of the biggest stars of his era (Goldberg), vs the man who WWE expect to be the man to become the franchise in the future (Reigns). As well as that it has to be the moment when fans finally get what they want from Reigns.
With a red hot crowd cheering them both on, this is the night when Reigns finally turns full heel again, with a little help from his friends. Goldberg matches the younger man throughout the match, but finds himself outside the ring. Reigns spears him through the guard rail and then rolls back into the ring.
With the referee checking on Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose make their way through the crowd, unseen by everyone. Utilizing their two-man powerbomb, they drive Goldberg through the announce table at ringside before tossing him back in the ring. Reigns hits another spear, then pins the former WCW Champion to walk out still holding the Universal Championship.

This match has seen the reformation of The Shield, who can now go on to run roughshod over the entire WWE. It’s also managed to get the crowd to boo Reigns for the fact that he is a proper heel again, not just because they hate the position he finds himself in. It’s also seen the legendary Goldberg get screwed over by the younger guys, which will only build him even stronger as a babyface in the eyes of the fans.
