Braun Strowman Dominates Big Show
Last week, it was announced that Braun Strowman will face Big Show on RAW this Monday. The news came about after Strowman’s decisive win over Mark Henry, a win which has helped established the big man as WWE’s top monster. While many may believe that Big Show won’t share Henry’s fate, the fact of the matter is it’s the only outcome that makes sense.
When Big Show finally decides to retire from the squared circle, he will be able to look back on an entertaining and historic career. He made a name for himself in WCW, and upon his arrival in WWE, he solidified himself as one of the greatest giants of all-time. With that being said, the star power that Show once possessed is long gone due to inconsistent booking. The former world champion does have more to offer the business, however, and that includes giving Strowman the rub on RAW.
Seeing as how this match was hyped a week in advance (a rarity in today’s landscape), it’s likely to be given ample spotlight. In a perfect world, Shaquille O’Neal would use this encounter on RAW as an opportunity to build upon his WrestleMania feud with Big Show. Since there is absolutely no chance of that happening, the only logical benefit of having this match is to push Strowman to the moon. I only hope that WWE doesn’t waste the reputations of both Henry and Show just to have Strowman lose to Roman Reigns at Fastlane. If WWE continues to protect Strowman and give him wins over established top talents, there is no reason why he can’t become a solid main-eventer for years to come.
