Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship Match
Magnus and Rage(c) vs The Hardys

Result: The Hardys def. Magnus and Rage via pinfall

The Hardy battle the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions as the locker room is firmly behind them.  The roster feels like this is a good chance to escape for the reign of tyranny of Magnus and Rage.  Jeff Hardy delivers a diving double sledge from three camera angles.  With the crowd firmly behind them, Magnus fights back against the crowd favorite Jeff.  The momentum doesn’t last long as Matt Hardy deletes the tag championship using the turnbuckle.  Rage is pushed down the stairs in a trash container and the Broken Hardys have Magnus right where they want him.  The Extreme Combination earns the Hardys the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Titles.

Bad Bones vs Josh Barnett

Result: Barnett def. Bones via submission

This is a dual debut in TNA for both Barnett and Bones.  Josh Barnett is a former UFC Champion and commentator for New Japan Pro Wrestling while Bones is from power wrestler from Germany.  Barnett uses a strike first offensive approach but Bad Bones finds opportunities to fight back.  After a jackknife style powerbomb followed by an inverted Kimura Lock, Bad Bones’ debut is over against Josh Barnett.

I enjoyed both debuts but it was obvious that Barnett was going to win.  He is challenging for the World Championship next week and needs to seem like a viable threat.  Both men looked impressive in this match and I would love to see Bones come back.  I am unsure if he is a neighborhood guy but I like the style that he posses.  The match between Barnett and Lashley next week is going to be absolutely awesome.
