1 of 4

What role should Shinsuke Nakamura take upon his debut?

Now that Shinsuke Nakamura is back on the road with NXT, after a brief time away from the canvas to sell the knee injury that led to him losing the NXT Championship to Bobby Roode in San Antonio, discussion is already starting to brew with regards to exactly when “The King of Strong Style” will say goodbye to the yellow ropes.

We knew from the get-go that Nakamura’s time in NXT would be short-lived in comparison to some of the brand’s other alumni. He has a skillset that, although has done wonders in creating several spectacular NXT main event matches over the last year, is simply made for stardom in the upper echelon of the WWE.

Nakamura possesses a natural charisma that is not easy to come by in the world of professional wrestling, and it’s that charisma – paired with his ferocious striking technique in the squared circle – that virtually guarantees this man’s success whenever he chooses to make his presence felt on the main WWE roster.

Now that he’s back competing, one can only imagine that it’s just a matter of time until Nakamura gets that special little phone call that sees his stock go way up.

He’s achieved all there is to in NXT, and the only thing that should be weighing on WWE’s collective brain now is when and how he should be promoted.

Let’s take a look at just a few ideal debut scenarios in which Nakamura can truly make a tremendous impact in his first appearances on the main WWE roster.
