NXT takes over WrestleMania weekend Saturday, April 1, so here’s what we might see.
With almost everyone from the old NXT Roster now on the main roster, NXT’s new era is in full swing. Last year, at NXT TakeOver: Dallas, we saw American Alpha crowned NXT Tag Team Champions, the debut of Shinsuke Nakamura and the crowning moment of the current Women’s Champion, Asuka. Not to mention, The Greatest Man That Ever Lived, Austin Aries made his in-ring debut against current SmackDown Live upstart Baron Corbin. Top to bottom it was probably the best NXT TakeOver Card to date but this year’s NXT TakeOver: Orlando has a chance to outdo it.
NXT has seemingly recovered from the WWE Draft where the roster was somewhat depleted and is back to glory. With champions like The Glorious Bobby Roode and Asuka at the helm and new up and coming talent this TakeOver could be special.
Almost every TakeOver card has been 5 matches long so I expect the same for this NXT card. Normally, 3 out of the 5 matches are title matches. However, with the United Kingdom Champion Tyler Bate and other stars of the the WWE UK Tournament appearing on NXT we may very well be getting a fourth title match. That being said, let’s start with the potential opener.
