Follow along with our review of Wednesday night’s episode of WWE NXT.
On Wednesday night, the latest episode of WWE NXT took place from Full Sail University. This should be the final one from the venue before developmental heads to UCF for the rest of the month. It will take us to NXT TakeOver: Orlando, which takes place on Saturday, April 1 at the Amway Center.
This NXT show may have been the most important one since TakeOver: San Antonio. Important action would take place, with two championship matches occurring.
First, Asuka defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Peyton Royce. The Australian Superstar won a triple threat match over Ember Moon and Liv Morgan to earn this opportunity. She got destroyed by the Empress of Tomorrow during the fatal four-way in San Antonio, so would she stand a chance this time around?
The second title match saw DIY receive their rematch for the NXT Tag Team Championship. They faced the Authors of Pain, who won the belts in San Antonio. Would there be a title change? Did the Revival make an appearance?
Outside of these matches, we saw Patrick Clark in action. Would he win in his outing?
The other interesting part of this show was an announcement for an upcoming championship match. Who will be part of it and when will it take place at the UCF taping this month?
This episode of WWE NXT provided plenty of intrigue, so follow along as we dive into the results of Wednesday’s show.
