WWE: Big Cass Needs to Break Away, Become Singles Star

Big Cass needs to split from Enzo Amore and start his singles push, this should happen at the grandest stage of them all with the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

If there is one superstar who is screaming out for a push it is Raw’s Big Cass. He is currently still teamed with Enzo Amore, the pair made a big splash in NXT and they have been a staple on the main roster since their call up. However, they seem to have been relegated to the same comedy role, and the feud with Rusev and Lana did them no favours. At Fastlane, they take on Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows for the Raw Tag Team Titles, and this would be the perfect time to orchestrate a split between Cass and Enzo.

It wouldn’t necessarily need to be a bad split, but something to end them as a tag team so Big Cass can compete as a singles competitor. This is what he needs to succeed, he is extremely talented and there are so many on the roster he could feud with and build himself with. The perfect way for him to establish himself as a big star would be for Big Cass to be the one to win this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. It really was a big leap for Baron Corbin last year, and Big Cass makes the most sense to be the one to have it this year.

Leading up to WrestleMania they could have him announce he is entertaining the Battle Royal and build that up, pit him against other guys and show just how powerful he is. If they book the Battle Royal correctly, the runner-up could be the perfect feud for him as well. As a singles star, he could still have Enzo in his corner, a support act and they wouldn’t need to split them off completely but in the long run, they would need to otherwise he wouldn’t really be able to grow on his own.

Big Cass has the potential to be a big player on Raw, but it’s not necessary to place him in the main event picture straight away; the upper mid-card area may work better. There just isn’t anywhere for him to go in a team, and it just doesn’t make sense for the pair to win the Raw Tag Team Titles as Gallows and Anderson haven’t even had a real chance to shine since becoming champions. While Raw does need good tag teams, Enzo and Cass just don’t need to be a part of it.

With Big Cass hopefully moving on to be on his own where does that leave Enzo? As mentioned he could always still be by Cass’s side in the short term, but he too can work just fine as a singles act. It would be an amazing moment to see Big Cass win the Battle Royal, he feels like the guy to do it and the potential to build him up solo is there. His few weeks on his own when Enzo was injured proved his worth. He is someone who should be in line for a singles title run later this year, Cass would certainly make a great United States Champion.

Whatever does happen, I really hope that creative see that Big Cass has so much potential and give him the singles push he truly does deserve. The chance is there for him to be one of the main faces on Raw, and to shine on his own.
