Follow along with our review of Wednesday night’s episode of WWE NXT.

On Wednesday night, the latest episode of WWE NXT took place from the UCF campus. It’s the first show from the February taping which will take us to NXT TakeOver: Orlando.

Shinsuke Nakamura’s return highlighted this episode. He had been out since NXT TakeOver: San Antonio in January with a storyline knee injury after facing Bobby Roode. This also saw Nakamura lose the NXT Championship.

On this show, Nakamura faced TJ Perkins. Would he get a win in his first match back?

It would also be a big night of announcements for NXT TakeOver: Orlando. We found out Asuka’s competitor for the NXT Women’s Championship one week after she disposed of Peyton Royce. With Ember Moon and Billie Kay going head-to-head on NXT, who would be announced as the challenger?

The set up for the NXT Championship match would also be announced. Bobby Roode is the titleholder, but is he guaranteed a spot in less than four weeks? What about the challenger for the belt?

We had other matches as well to push storylines. Some of them could be featured at the Amway Center too.

Eric Young vs. Tye Dillinger would take place, but the bell never rang. What caused this? Are we on our way to another TakeOver match between them?

The Revival were set for a match, but it didn’t take place either. They are in the middle of a feud with the Authors of Pain and DIY for the NXT Tag Team Championship. How would the three-way confrontation continue?

Plenty happened on this WWE NXT, so let’s dive into the results.
