Finn Balor Returns at WWE Live Event in Buffalo (Video)
Finn Balor made his return to the ring at the WWE Buffalo live event.
Finn Balor’s WWE return had been advertised for the live event in Buffalo, NY on Friday, March 10. It would be his first match since SummerSlam in August 2016, which saw him win the WWE Universal Championship in the first ever match for it. However, he had to relinquish the belt just one day later on Raw due to a shoulder injury.
Well, Friday, March 10 is here and Balor returned to the ring. He teamed with Chris Jericho and Sami Zayn to face Samoa Joe, Triple H and Kevin Owens in the show’s main event.
It’s refreshing to see Balor back. He’s also returning during the heart of WrestleMania 33 season, which is great for adding top talent to the mix. However, is there room for him on the match card?
With Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt, both Women’s Championship matches set and Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens taking place, the space for Balor is quickly running out. That doesn’t include teased matches like AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon, one for the Raw Tag Team Championship, and John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse.
So is the Demon set up to be in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal? It’s the match that sees everyone with nothing to do featured. While he’s probably above this, his return coming just three weeks before WrestleMania 33 could mean a spot he probably would have had is closed up. Time will tell, though, as he still has to appear on Raw.
