4. A Crushing Arsenal
Throughout his career, Brock Lesnar has made use of a variety of suplexes. His first run in the company allowed the rookie (at the time) to develop a move-set that played to his strengths. Alongside Paul Heyman, Lesnar used his destructive nature to take the world by storm during his three year stint in WWE. Venturing off to make history in UFC, he would continue to adapt his arsenal to ensure he delivered severe punishment to his opponent.
Upon making his return to WWE in 2012, the Beast Incarnate was far more dominant than he had ever been. By 2014 he was on top of the wrestling world, and his match with John Cena at Summerslam introduced fans to the power Lesnar possessed. Delivering an unprecedented sixteen German suplexes to Cena, Lesnar went on to win his first WWE Championship in eleven years. However, it wouldn’t be until the following WrestleMania that the relentless assault of suplexes would be dubbed “suplex city”.
The very next night, those two words were chanted by fans on Raw , which in turn lead to creating of some of the coolest shirts of the modern era. Despite the popularity of suplex city, no is interested in traveling their firsthand. Over the past three years, there have been very few men who have withstood Lesnar’s onslaught. Achieving a victory over him is even rarer, as the only two men to beat him since 2013 are The Undertaker and Goldberg. Taking into account that Goldberg has only taken a single bump since his return, his body simply isn’t capable of taking multiple German suplexes. Should just one suplex connect at WrestleMania, the match will instantly turn in Lesnar’s favor.
