Becky Lynch vs. Natalya
Result: Becky Lynch wins via submission
Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars
Our first match of the night has Becky Lynch battling Natalya. This stems from what occurred between these two women last week. The two were teaming up against Alexa Bliss and Mickie James when Natalya decided to go into business for herself. Betraying her partner, she left Lynch to get defeated by the opposing team.
Early on in the contest, Natalya attempted to shake the hand of her competitor. Still angered over what transpired the last time they were in a ring together, Lynch chose to strike her opponent. A commercial break interrupted the action, and when we returned Natalya was in control. Slowing down the pace, the Queen of Harts worked her younger opponent. The onslaught wouldn’t last long, as Lynch fired up after being slapped in the face.
Towards the closing moments, the two women would shift control. A beautiful transition into the DisArmHer would go on to earn Lynch the submission victory. Before she had time to celebrate, Carmella arrived and assaulted both Lynch and Natalya with James Ellsworth by her side.
Following the assault, AJ Styles was shown in the parking lot waiting for Shane McMahon to arrive. John Cena’s appearance at the Kid’s Choice Awards was highlighted as well. Finally, Carmella was interviewed backstage and made it clear she wants to battle for the title.
