Dolph Ziggler vs. Mojo Rawley

Result: Mojo Rawley wins via count-out

Rating: 1.0 out of 5 stars

After another commercial break, Shane McMahon is shown being attended to by medical personnel. Bleeding on the top of his head, the decision is made to escort him to the trainer’s room to tend to his wounds. Say what you will about Shane, but the man can sell a beating better than most.

AJ Styles reappears as well, planning to leave the arena while receiving a stern talking to by the Usos. On his way out, he is met by Daniel Bryan and a team of security personnel. Refusing to let Styles get away with his actions, he fires the Phenomenal One on the spot. Bryan then has security ensure that Styles leaves the building immediately.

Next up, Mojo Rawley attempted to defeat a former world champion in the form of Dolph Ziggler. Displaying his powerful style, he managed to surprise Ziggler with his offense early. Rather than face his opponent, The Showoff chose to live to fight another day. Earning the victory by count-out, a disappointed Rawley watched as Ziggler retreated up the ramp.

It’s matches like these that serve no purpose on SmackDown Live. Neither man benefitted from being on the show, and all it did was serve as a plug for WrestleMania. The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal should be treated as a prestigious event, not a match with wrestlers who wouldn’t appear on the show otherwise.
