WWE Rumors: Could Hulk Hogan Be at WrestleMania 33?

It may not be a coincidence that Hulk Hogan will be in Orlando during WrestleMania weekend.

Let us travel back in time to the distant past of 2015. The United States and Cuba resumed full diplomatic relations after 54 years of embargos, NASA announced that liquid water had been found on Mars, and Hulk Hogan was blacklisted by the WWE after a tape of him going on a racist rant was released to the world. Few men on this planet are more synonymous with professional wrestling that Hulk Hogan, but the WWE image always comes first, and so the Hulkster was put on the infamous Vince McMahon blacklist alongside other notable offenders such as Chris Benoit and Chyna.

Whether or not someone can go from naughty to nice in Vince’s mind may forever be a mystery, but flash forward to 2017 and Hogan’s return may not sound as far-fetched as once thought. In fact, Hogan’s redemption tour may come sooner than some of us had predicted. We predicted it happening about a year ago — somewhat.

"“Because I live the cero miedo life, I am making a bold prediction that Hulk Hogan will be back in the WWE by 2025.”"

Hogan is scheduled to open a beach shop in Orlando the same week as WrestleMania and is also scheduled to sign autographs from Mar. 29 – Apr. 4 on International Drive in the downtown area. What struck me as interesting is that his autograph schedule on April 2 (the same day as WrestleMania 33) ends at 4 p.m. ET which would give him more than enough time to make an appearance at Camping World Stadium roughly 20 minutes away.

Some people have pointed to Hogan’s successful lawsuit against Gawker as the reason why he’s back in the good graces of the WWE but we have to remember that his legal battle against the online gossip site had nothing to do with the release of the tape involving his racist tirade and his subsequent falling out with WWE. If Hogan is indeed making a comeback to the company, it’s because he and Vince have spoken privately and come to terms with these past statements. His success against Gawker may even have overshadowed the racist tape and caused many people to forget it even exists.

Any way we slice it, this is just a rumor and Hogan’s involvement may not be as certain as The Rock’s. Despite no formal announcement as of yet, the Great One has been a part of every WrestleMania since 2010, so his noticeable absence would certainly be a topic of discussion much more than Hogan’s.
