Highlights of the Division
Bray Wyatt needs to assert himself as WWE Champion. I’m a fan of his creepy promos but he’ll need to look a menace out for revenge against Randy Orton.
Randy Orton is playing the part as the challenger who’s on his way to dethrone the champion and he might be favoured to do just that. His victory over AJ Styles last week has established the Viper as the only threat to the WWE Championship.
AJ Styles facing Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 33? It’s clearly beneath the former WWE champion to be facing his boss at the grandest stage of them all. Having AJ attack Shane backstage so viciously could re-establish himself as the cerebral competitor of SmackDown Live.
John Cena and Nikki Bella facing the Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33. This match will clearly keep Cena out of the main event scene for a while but he’ll need to have a good showing in this featured match-up.
The SmackDown Live main event scene has been a lot more entertaining than their RAW counterpart. Let’s see what happens next week.
WWE Champion: Bray Wyatt (3 Wins – 2 Losses)
Contenders
- No. 1 Contender: Randy Orton (5 Wins – 3 Losses)
- Contender No. 2: AJ Styles (3 Wins – 5 Losses)
Pretenders
- Pretender No. 1: John Cena (4 Wins – 4 Losses)
