Mick Foley is no longer the WWE Raw General Manager.
Mick Foley leaving WWE TV has seemed inevitable for the past few months, as he revealed he needed hip surgery in December 2016. It requires time away from the WWE, meaning he would probably lose his Raw General Manager spot.
Last Sunday, Foley teased on his Facebook account that he could be leaving soon. He asked the fans who they wanted to see as the next Raw General Manager, “Assuming Mrs Foley’s baby boy gets the boot sometime in 2017…”
Well, it all came to fruition on the Monday, Mar. 20 episode of Raw. Foley then opened this week’s show by reading off a written statement, saying he’s taking a “leave of absence,” before going off and having his microphone turned off. Stephanie McMahon then came down to the ring and fired him. This is following what happened on the Mar. 13 episode.

The end of Foley’s run as general manager is here. He held this role from the moment the brand split began in July 2016, appearing on most episodes of Raw since. WWE had him interact with the likes of Braun Strowman and Sami Zayn around Roadblock, becoming the middle man in their feud. The Hardcore Legend also played a part in the Cesaro vs. Sheamus feud from the summer, and created their Best-of-7 Series.

No replacement for Foley was made clear on Raw, but there are options. They include names of the past and present.
Kurt Angle will be the first name that comes up. He may appear on the Raw after WrestleMania 33, which could spark speculation that he’s replacing Foley. This is a way of WWE keeping him around after the 2017 Hall of Fame induction on Mar. 31.
Another interesting name is Lana. With Rusev potentially set to miss time due to injury, it could free up the Ravishing Russian to take on another role.
A possible dark horse option is Triple H, if he’s going to continue appearing on WWE TV after WrestleMania 33. If something with Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe resonates over the next few weeks, then it could put the Game in play to return to an authority role on Raw.
