Becky Lynch vs Carmella

Result: No Contest

Rating: 2.75 out of 5 stars

Stemming from her unwarranted attack last week, Carmella was set to go up against Becky Lynch here tonight. As an added twist, Natalya decided to come down and observe the match from the announce table. From the start of the bell, Lynch leveled the outspoken rookie with several European uppercuts. The match wouldn’t go on much further from there, as Natalya decided to interfere and draw the no contest.

Moments later, Mickie James would run down to the ring and engage in the brawl as well. Even SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss joined in, and when the dust settled she stood tall with the title.

Although this segment needed much more time to feel meaningful, the Blue Brand is off the hook due to only having two hours to work with This wasn’t a program that could’ve been left off the show, because WWE needs to promote the division ahead of WrestleMania. Come the big event, I’m still fully confident that Bliss will continue her second reign with the belt.

In a quick promo, Neville hyped up his appearance on 205Live tonight. An announcement was also made which confirmed Bray Wyatt versus Luke Harper for next week.

Things continued to pick up from here, as Maryse and The Miz returned with part two of their parody. Giving a tour of their “house” they mocked John Cena not proposing to Nikki Bella and other humorous topics. Apparently, there is another part that will be aired at some point down the line.
