4. Dean Ambrose Retains the Intercontinental Championship

Baron Corbin has been red hot on Smackdown in pursuits to take the Lunatic Fringe down.  The 2016 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner has something to prove and he will have his chance to establish his legacy on April 2nd.  Ambrose will walk into WrestleMania as the Intercontinental Champion, a 180 from last year in a no-win massacre against Lesnar.

This feud has really heated up in the last couple of weeks which amped the excitement for fans.  There is no doubt that both men will take that intensity to the ring with them in Orlando.  With that being said, the match itself will be Corbin’s coming out party with his first singles Championship win.  As much as fans love Ambrose, a Corbin win not only extends this feud, but establishes him as a force to be reckoned with on Smackdown.

Ambrose retaining the Championship makes no sense otherwise and does nothing for either man post-WrestleMania.  Unless there is a third party involved, it’s unlikely that will be the case.  With the way Corbin’s star has been rising, it is obvious that the company has big plans for the Lone Wolf.  Those plans should start at WrestleMania and continue beyond that.
