What is Braun Strowman Doing at WWE WrestleMania 33?

Braun Strowman’s WrestleMania 33 plans were revealed on Monday’s episode of WWE Raw. What will he be doing?

Braun Strowman has seen his stock rise since the 2016 WWE Draft. He started squashing enhancement talents, but steadily rose up the roster and received bigger opportunities. This includes a spot in the 2017 Royal Rumble match and a feud with Roman Reigns, which culminated after Fastlane.

However, Strowman had nothing set up for him at WrestleMania 33. Little information about his plans had been teased, a surprising note for someone who had been in Raw’s main event scene for much of this year.

Well, on Monday Night Raw, the final one before WrestleMania, Strowman declared what he will do at the show — he’ll be part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He announced this after Big Show defeated other battle royal participants in a challenge match.

Given WWE’s decision to hold back on Strowman’s plans until Monday, it’s not surprising to see him in the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. It’s typically been used for the Superstars with nothing to do at WrestleMania, especially over the past two years. Little effort has been put into this match, with the exception of the inaugural year in 2014 and the once-popular Miz vs. Damien Mizdow feud in 2015.

The Mountain Among Men should be considered a favorite for the battle royal. If anything, it could come down to him vs. Show if Raw was any indication. There were other competitors seemingly made official for this, including Goldust, R-Truth, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas, but none of them stand a chance, right?
