WrestleMania 33 will likely be the end of the Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens rivalry. Here are three predictions for their United States Championship match.

WrestleMania 33 is literally just around the corner. The Ultimate Thrill Ride will have the eyes of the wrestling world on it as WWE’s biggest show of the year. And one of the big rivalries heading into WrestleMania is between Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens.

Jericho and Owens spent much of the past six months on the same page. They were thick as thieves, proclaiming to the world that they were best friends. Jericho helped Owens to hang on to the Universal Championship for months, and Owens returned the favor by helping Y2J win the United States Championship.

However, prior to WWE Fastlane, all that changed. Jericho accepted a challenge from Goldberg on KO’s behalf for a title match. That led to Owens turning on Jericho during the Festival of Friendship, violently assaulting his “best friend” in the process.

At Fastlane, Jericho’s distraction was a key part of the brief Universal Championship match. After Goldberg defeated Owens, Jericho stated he wanted a singles match against his former friend at WrestleMania. Owens accepted, but only if the US Title was on the line.
