WWE NXT: 3 Reasons The Revival Deserve Call-Up After WrestleMania 33

3. They have nothing left to accomplish in NXT
This one is a no-brainer. The Revival have done more in a year and a half than most people that walk into NXT ever accomplish between the yellow ropes.
They are the only two-time NXT Tag Team Champions in history, a distinction they earned when they walked out of NXT TakeOver: The End last June in victory over American Alpha – who recently went on to earn championship gold on the main roster as the most popular babyface tandem on SmackDown Live.
They were just recently named the brand’s tag-team of 2016, and won an award for putting on the match of the year against #DIY in Toronto last November.
Dash and Dawson are just at the beginning of their run, and for them to already have a list of accolades as impressive as they do is no small feat. That being said, the unfortunate thing about NXT is there’s only so high you can go in a given division.
NXT is still a developmental brand, and these cats are being groomed not so they can become 10-time NXT Tag Team Champions, but so they can hold their own as members of the main WWE roster for as long as humanly possible.
Save for splitting up and going after the NXT Title – which would be a monumental waste of their chemistry – there is nothing left that The Revival has to offer NXT.
Their match on Saturday night is bound to be a great one, as they go up against #DIY and The Authors of Pain for the chance to become three-time champs. But this should come as nothing more than the swan song for Dash and Dawson before they make their presence felt on Raw or SmackDown Live next week.
