This Sunday, Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg will compete at WrestleMania 33. With the Universal Championship on the line, expect these athletes to fight tooth and nail to leave the Show of Shows with the gold.

For thirteen years, Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg have been embroiled in a fierce feud. At WrestleMania 20, Goldberg won the first match in the series following a devastating Jackhammer. By 2016, the time had come for these two to meet once again. In the midst of his second run in the company, Lesnar had created an invincible aura for himself. His overconfidence would lead to him accepting a match against his former foe, looking to avenge the loss he sustained.

Survivor Series was revealed as the site of their epic rematch. Shockingly, what we saw was the annihilation of the Beast Incarnate in just eighty-six seconds. The win propelled Goldberg’s popularity and stock, while Lesnar was left beaten and shaken by the loss.

Two months later, Lesnar returned looking for revenge. Heading into the Royal Rumble, he promised to eliminate Goldberg and end his seemingly superhero run. However, once again we saw Lesnar finished with ease by the former WCW Champion. Eliminating him from the contest, Goldberg continued to compete as Lesnar remained stunned over what transpired.

The next night on Raw, the Beast Incarnate issued a challenge to Goldberg. One final match, this time at WrestleMania 33. Goldberg accepted, but he had another opponent in his path first. By Fastlane, the veteran was facing Kevin Owens for the Universal Championship. One spear and one Jackhammer would earn Goldberg his first world championship in over thirteen years.
