SmackDown Women’s Championship Match

Splitting the women’s division in two and giving each brand its own title was never a good idea. It would’ve made much more sense to have all the cruiserweights on Raw and all of the fighting women on SmackDown. At least that would’ve given more competitiveness and depth to a single unified roster. But I digress.

This match isn’t likely to mean much on the show. The SmackDown women’s title has been built up much less than its Raw equivalent, and so far we have yet to see a truly phenomenal match for it. Worse, given the bigger names on the card than those in this one, this is likely to become one of the designated ‘bathroom break matches’.

Still, one should expect the heel Alexa Bliss to lose her title in order to make the fans happy. With Orlando being Naomi’s home town, there’s still a good chance she’ll be ready for the match and will walk out of the arena with the championship back on her shoulder.
