The one though that sticks out the most is the track “The Memory Remains” by heavy metal band Metallica. The iconic hard rock band from San Francisco is considered one of the greatest bands of all time who have sold over 100 million albums and are in the Rock in Roll, Hall of Fame.

The track “The Memory Remains” was released off the band’s 1997 album, Reload. The song is popular hit among their fans and the band still play the song regularly on the tour to this day.

The band had provided their track For Whom the Bell Tolls the year before as Triple H used the song for his entrance. “The Memory Remains” was used once again in a Triple H match as it was the theme for The Game’s encounter with The Undertaker.

The two were set to clash for the third time at the show of shows and for the second year in a row. The song’s lyrics were used to tell the story of the dark memory that both men had from the result from the match the year before.

Triple H’s memory were that as close as he got to beating the Deadman he like everyone else to that point came up short. The Undertaker was haunted on how badly beaten he was in the match. Undertaker was so beat up after the match that he collapsed outside the ring and was carted out of the arena, The Deadman would be gone from WWE for nearly a year.

As the two were in the ring the and the cell began to drop the arena blasted Metallica in what would become an iconic moment in Mania history. The match was billed as The End of an Era, and it had an awesome theme song to help make the match and event memorable.
