American Alpha, Heath Slater & Rhyno, and Mojo Rawley vs. Breezango, The Usos, and Dolph Ziggler

Result: Mojo Rawley wins the match for his team via pinfall

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

With only five days left until WrestleMania, WWE finally decided to promote the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The winning team would have considerable momentum going into the match on Sunday, meaning this match had huge implications. Knowing this, the men involved fought tooth and nail to ensure they’d be the ones going to the Show of Shows.

During the early portion of the match, the faces had the heels under control until Dolph Ziggler dodged a Gore from Rhyno. This allowed the heels to slow down the pace for a time, wearing down their opponents systematically. As per usual, the hot tag was made shortly thereafter and Mojo Rawley got his team back in it. The various superstars involved ended up removing themselves from the equation one by one. Leaving only Mojo and Tyler Breeze remaining, Mojo secured the victory for his team and celebrated inside the ring.

One major takeaway from this match is that it seems the Usos won’t be defending their championships at WrestleMania. To think that they won’t be putting the titles up for grabs on the show is insulting, especially when you consider every other title is on the line. Unless WWE has a trick up its sleeve, the SmackDown Live tag division will be absent on Sunday.

Moments before the main event, Luke Harper conducted a promo about Bray Wyatt. Stating that the truth is he doesn’t need Wyatt, he advises his former brother to run.
