The SmackDown Live Tag Team Division

Highlights of the Division

So the Usos will be the only champions in the WWE not to defend their titles at WrestleMania 33? The real question would be what was the point of American Alpha losing their titles to the Usos weeks ago if they won’t invoke their rematch clause at the biggest PPV of the year? This is a slap in the face for the entire division and all the hard work they put in since the draft last year.

In the meantime, both the Usos and American Alpha will be participating at the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal with no clear consensus victory in sight. So their championship rivalry will be put on hold in the meantime till American Alpha invoke their rematch clause for the titles.

Heath Slater and Rhyno were victorious in the 10 man tag team match and notched their first win of 2017. They move up one spot in the pretender’s list and if they keep racking up more wins—they’ll be looking at one more title run in the near future.

The Ascension and The Vaudevillians have still been inactive in the meantime. Once WrestleMania concludes—we might see them in action and re-position themselves in the pecking order of the tag team division.

Breezango are a walking punchline at this point and will be the bottom feeders of the tag team division unless they get repackaged as a credible tag team.

Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
