5. Triple H vs Daniel Bryan – WrestleMania 30
On the 30th Anniversary of WrestleMania, Triple H and Daniel Bryan opened the night with a fantastic bout. The two had begun their rivalry back at SummerSlam, when Trips was the special guest referee in the WWE Championship match featuring John Cena and Daniel Bryan.
After Bryan won the match and his first WWE Championship, Triple H pedigreed Bryan and then brought out Randy Orton who held the Money in the Bank briefcase. Orton would then cash in and win the championship away from Bryan.
For the next eight months, Triple H and The Authority would do everything in their power to prevent Bryan from winning the championship. After hijacking Raw, the King of Kings agreed to face Bryan at WrestleMania. If Bryan won, he would be placed into the WWE Championship match later that night.
The two would start the night in a highly entertaining back and forth contest. While it seemed that the deck was beginning to be too stacked for Daniel Bryan to win the match, the ultimate underdog pulled off the massive upset.
Daniel Bryan would then win the WWE Championship later that night proving everything that The Authority thought about him wrong. Though he came up short in the match Triple H put on one of the best matches of his career that night.
