2. Triple H vs The Undertaker – WrestleMania 27

After being gone from WWE for nearly a year, both Triple H and The Undertaker returned to Raw on the same night. He then challenged The Deadman to a match at WrestleMania.

Triple H was determined to do what his best friend Shawn Michaels was unable to accomplish the previous two years — end The Phenom’s streak. he would come to the ring to Metallica’s For Whom The Bell Tolls, signaling this would be the year the streak ends.

The two would partake in one of the most hard-hitting matches in the history of WrestleMania. Near fall after near fall happened until Triple H took advantage. The Game unleashed fury on The Undertaker.

The beating got so bad that fans for the first time ever truly started to believe that this could be the year The Deadman would fall. Triple H would hit The Phenom with his own finisher The Tombstone but Undertaker survived.

The end truly looked to be in sight when out of nowhere The Undertaker locked Triple H into The Hell’s Gate. The Game would fight with all he could being able to find and grab a sledgehammer. Before he could slam the weapon into Taker’s face he dropped it, and after another minute of doing everything he can The Game tapped out.

Despite Undertaker winning, he would be carted off to the back due to the damage he suffered in the match. Despite winning the battle it would be The Game who seemed to win the war, this would set up a third and final clash between the two next year.
