John Cena Proposes to Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33 (Video)

At WrestleMania 33, John Cena dropped down to one knee and proposed to Nikki Bella after their match against the Miz and Maryse.

John Cena and Nikki Bella have become WWE’s power couple. They are arguably the top man and woman, respectively, of the company, being marketing and wrestling forces. Their appearances in the ring and on TV have helped establish their brands, something few Superstars have had the opportunity to do.

Coming into WrestleMania 33, there was a guessing game over Cena proposing marriage to Bella. Fans speculated, and even the Miz and Maryse mocked it on Total Bellas Bull****. They thought it wouldn’t happen, but it ended up doing so.

So, at WrestleMania 33, Cena and Bella won the match. It lasted about 10 minutes, but it worked well and served as solid entertainment after the ladder bout. However, the Face That Runs the Place quickly followed up with, you guessed it, a wedding proposal in the middle of the ring.

Cena got out the microphone and started speaking to Nikki. He recounted a moment when they were in the hospital [for Bella’s surgery]. So, Cena says he told her he would marry her one day, and quickly transitions to one knee with a wedding ring.

What a moment for these two, celebrating this in the middle of the ring. It’s an unforgettable thing for both of them, especially if Bella’s neck injury keeps her out of the squared circle for a long time.
