Finn Balor Returns on WWE Raw After WrestleMania 33 (Video)
Finn Balor would make his WWE return on Monday’s episode of Raw.
Finn Balor had been away from WWE since August with a shoulder injury. He suffered it during his WWE Universal Championship match against Seth Rollins, which also resulted in a victory. So Balor had to relinquish the belt the following night on Raw.
In March, Balor wrestled his first match since SummerSlam, teaming with Sami Zayn and Chris Jericho to face Triple H, Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens. This came at a WWE live event in Buffalo, NY. However, Balor did not appear at WrestleMania 33 in any capacity, leaving fans wondering when he will return.
Well, on Monday night, Balor made his official WWE TV return on Raw. He did so as the mystery partner for Seth Rollins in their tag match with Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe during the 10:00 p.m. ET hour of the show.
This didn’t clue us in on the future feud for the Demon King (yet), but there are options. One of them is Owens, who is still battling Chris Jericho, and are likely set for a United States Championship rematch. Once they’re done, then WWE could look to recreate this NXT program from 2015. Joe, who Balor has extensive NXT history with, is another. So, maybe something will branch off from this.
Having Balor back in WWE and on Raw is a game-changer. He only had one month to get his feet wet before injuring his shoulder, so the potential of the former NXT Champion on the main roster has yet to be seen. This includes in PPV main events, on the weekly shows, promos and more.
