Thank You, Undertaker

Thank you for the memories, Undertaker.

The Undertaker being in the WWE is no more, as in case you missed it, he stepped away from the ring after the WrestleMania 33 main event. It was painful, heartbreaking and a sad sight to watch, as he struggled through a match with Roman Reigns. You could tell it was tough for ‘Taker to go through, but he managed to survive about 20 minutes at age 52.

It was a long, 25-plus year career for the Undertaker, but all I want to say here is this:

Thank you, Undertaker.

Thank you for the memories that helped form this 22-year-old into a wrestling fan in 2003.

Thank you for the memories you provided not only myself, but anyone to ever watch the WWE.

Thank you for the memories every time that gong or bell went off in a venue and made the fans fill with excitement.

Thank you for the memories of your legendary feuds with the likes of Kane, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and others.

Thank you for showing up every year, even if it was for one appearance at a time for WrestleMania season.

Thank you for being The Guy.

Thank you for making WWE your yard all these years.

Thank you for working through nagging pain.

Thank you for being the standard bearer.

Thank you for your contributions to professional wrestling.

Thank you for making others want to join the professional wrestling business.

Thank you for sticking around all these years.

Thank you for the work you’ve done to put fans in the seats at WWE events for over 25 years.

There’s so much to be thankful for, as one of the greatest to ever step foot onto the Sports Entertainment platform is no longer in the WWE. It’s sad, but bittersweet.

Thank you, Undertaker. You’re not gone and probably will be back for the WWE Hall of Fame, so we’ll see you later.
