3. The Miz

The Miz is doing the best work of his career, and he has definitely earned another chance to challenge for the WWE Championship.  With both men having done some acting, that can come into play if a program should happen between them.  Also, The Miz was the one who cashed in his Money in the Bank in 2010 to defeat Orton on an episode of Raw.

There is already past history between the two, and both are at new stages in their respective careers.  Revisiting a rivalry at this point could be good if done right.  With Miz being the opportunist that he is, the challenge to Orton could definitely happen.  He has one Championship win over Orton under his belt, his confidence would already be high.

It isn’t a throwaway opponent, as there is already substance when it comes to Orton and The Miz.  It wouldn’t be a program going into SummerSlam, but definitely an opponent to keep Orton on his toes until then.  Never say never, and there have been much worse that’s happened.
