The Veteran Tag Team Competes on Raw

For the first time in over seven years, Matt and Jeff Hardy returned to the WWE and competed as a tag team. Arriving on the grand stage that is WrestleMania, they were inserted into the tag team ladder match for the Raw Tag Team Championships. Putting their lives and bodies on the line, the duo won their first tag team titles in the company since 2007. Still capable of strong performances, the second coming of the Hardy Boyz is a huge plus for the tag division.

While not much is known about the details pertaining to their new contract, it’s safe to assume that the brothers will be prominent on the Flagship show. The night after WrestleMania is always an historic event, so there is no doubt the champions will be on the show. Here they will likely explain why those chose to return, and what impact they hope to have on the company. Considering that they are two of the most popular stars on Raw, they can probably demand a fair bit.

Before they can plan too far ahead, the former champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson will look to regain the belts. A free title match on TV is a great way to get fans excited, but odds are we won’t see a definitive finish. The teams involved in the ladder match last night may get involved, or perhaps the New Day.

Whichever route WWE chooses, they can take the viewer on an entertaining journey. Right now, the Raw tag division has a feeling of depth and variety which hasn’t been present as of late. If the company can take advantage of this, they may be able to build a rather impressive roster of teams that will lead the Flagship show moving forward.
