WWE made the United Kingdom Championship show official for the WWE Network on Tuesday night.

In January, WWE hosted a United Kingdom Championship Tournament, a two-day event taking place with 16 UK wrestlers competing for the United Kingdom Championship. The final match saw Tyler Bate defeat Pete Dunne to win.

This was a groundbreaking moment for the WWE, continuing their global expansion. They already had a Cruiserweight Classic take place, so this only followed up on its momentum.

Well, the UK stars are going to receive an even bigger spotlight, because on Tuesday’s episode of 205 Live, it was made official that there will be a weekly show of these talents coming to the WWE Network. No details were given on a debut date, but they had Wolfgang, Trent Seven, Mark Andrews, Dunne and Bate out to promote the future program.

This is the latest landmark moment for WWE, as they are heading into a direction that continues their global expansion. All we’ve seen is the weekly cable TV shows in the United States and never one taking place outside the country (that part didn’t get confirmed, but it only makes sense).

This British Invasion should be fun to follow over the coming weeks and months, whenever this show goes live. We’ll see a handful of stars get the opportunity on a big stage, branching out from the popular ICW and PROGRESS promotions to get in front of the near-two million subscribers on the WWE Network. It will let Bate, Dunne, Andrews, Wolfgang, Seven and others became well-known names and potentially set up a move up the roster.

The United Kingdom Championship show should be an interesting watch, as we’ll get to see some of the best from overseas in action. Are you looking forward to its impending launch?
