4 Predictions for WWE SmackDown Live: April 4, 2017

5 of 5

1. Shinsuke Nakamura Makes His Debut on Smackdown Live

Just like it was stated earlier in the article, the week after WrestleMania seems to be the time where we see stars from NXT called up to the main roster. After what we saw at NXT: Takeover on Saturday the time seems right that Nakamura will be coming to the main roster.

After a hard fought battle, Nakamura came up short in his title match against Bobby Roode making it likely that Nakamura’s time on NXT is done. With all this in mind now is the time for The King of Strong Style to join the main roster.

Nakamura going to Smackdown Live would be huge as the blue brand has yet to get a former NXT Champion on their brand. Every former NXT Champion who is on the main roster all call Monday Night RAW their home.

Nakamura would give the brand another top star to build around and could soften the blow, the brand might take after the draft. With at least one big star moving to RAW, and the news that John Cena should be off television until the Summer, Nakamura could give the brand a huge name to keep the brand afloat.

Nakamura is also real life friends with Smackdown Live General Manager, Daniel Bryan so debuting on Smackdown Live would make sense. With the potential dream matches with the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton and AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura on Smackdown Live would be the best move.
