TNA Impact Wrestling Results: Highlights, Analysis, and Grades for April 6

This is the first Impact Wrestling broadcast following WrestleMania weekend. How would the talents perform on Thursday night?

Impact Wrestling after ‘Mania? This is the first episode of Impact since WrestleMania 33. That means this is the first Impact following the Hardy Boys returning to WWE. After so much negativity from the wrestling pundits to wrestling fans, how would Impact respond?

A Last Man Standing match between the duo formerly known as the Wolves and Alberto El Patron were the main attractions of the show. A teaser released by Impact Wrestling (via YouTube) teased some familiar faces returning to the Impact Zone this week.

Since the last episode of Impact aired the wrestling world have witnessed Former TNA World Heavyweight champion and current TNA Hall-of-Famer Kurt Angle be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Then former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Roode successfully defend his NXT title on the same day the Broken Hardy lost their ROH Tag Team Titles.

Then to top it off, former TNA World Heavyweight champ AJ Styles opened the main show of WrestleMania with a victory before the Hardys returned to the WWE to continue their expedition of gold! So depending on how you look at it, it was a pretty good weekend for TNA.

Too bad this is no longer TNA, this is Impact Wrestling. With rumors of legal action against former talent and a bad public perception of the company, how would they decide to showcase the promotion moving forward?
