Ruby Riot vs. Kimberly Frankele

Result: Ruby Riot defeated Kimberly Frankele via pinfall.

Your third match of the evening with new talent. This isn’t Riot’s debut, but it’s the first time she’s wrestled a singles match in NXT.

Frankele is also a member of NXT, having been signed in the same class as Riot. She’s better known as Kimber Lee from the independent scene.

Moments into the match, Nikki Cross made noise with one of the guardrails at ringside and started watching. She didn’t interfere, however.

Riot’s finisher is interesting. She used a windup Pele Kick, which the crowd didn’t know how to react to. Once it’s used more consistently, then it will provide a bigger effect.

Cross vs. Riot has the potential to be a fun feud, potentially leading to a match at NXT TakeOver: Chicago in May. It would be one of the rare opportunities for the women to get two in-ring showings on the card.

The Authors of Pain Vignette

We get a vignette for the Authors of Pain. Paul Ellering calls them a “dynasty.”

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay at the Performance Center

We get our latest Performance Center video, which is NXT is beginning to go back to, to create matches. It’s a great tool to use, as everyone knows these Superstars interact there on a daily basis.

Kay and Royce confronted Liv Morgan and Aliyah in one of the back rooms. It led to Kay being shoved into a cold tub, likely setting up a match with these four women.
