The SmackDown Live Tag Team Division

Highlights of the Division

The featured match of the division this week was between American Alpha and the Colons—who used to be the Shining Stars back on Raw. Primo and Epico are extremely talented performers on the mic and proved it in the ring by defeating the former SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions. It looks like moving forward that the former travel agents won’t be dishing out time shares to the division, just losses on their way to the top.

As for American Alpha, this hasn’t been the best stretch for this exciting team. Since losing their titles to the Usos last month—they have been 0-3 in the tag team division, which is a sad sight to behold. Look for them to bounce back in a tune-up match to get back on the winning saddle.

The New Day won’t be debuting on SmackDown Live until Kofi Kingston is 100 percent recovered from his ankle injury. It would probably be best if their off TV for a while since viewer fatigue to their stale characters are at an all time high. Coming back in a month or so would definitely help the division tremendously and give the Usos an interesting challenge to their titles.

Breezango and the Ascension haven’t been seen on SmackDown Live yet and it could be because of time constraints for the show. Look for either team to face American Alpha or the Colons in establishing the pecking order within the division.

Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
