With Payback coming up this Sunday, as they say in the WWE ‘Anything Could Happen,’ so let’s take a look at what could happen, and what swerves we may see.

The lead up to Payback has not been terribly exciting, there are some good matches booked for the event however it is missing a title defense with the Universal Champion Brock Lesner not in the picture. The event has to survive without that on the show, as well as two cross-brand matches with Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho. This event does not feel very important, so WWE really needs to throw in some swerves to keep things interested and fans invested.

The time after WrestleMania is always tough to book, we have had some NXT call ups and superstars have switched brands. There are still some cross brand feuds going, which will be ended at Payback and things can move forward for Raw and Smackdown Live. There needs to be some fresh feuds, and new movements for the roster and the titles. Right now, there is currently no IC Title match on the card, Finn Balor, Dean Ambrose and The Miz do not have matches and if Chris Jericho defeats Kevin Owens he moves to Smackdown.

Possibilities are always endless in the WWE landscape, and right now with Raw being a solid show there needs to be some big things to make it a better show. Payback needs to become an event that changes things up and gets us all talking and look forward to what happens the night after.

So what is it that could happen, to help shake things up? Let us have a look at some possibilities.
