WWE Payback 2017 Predictions

Kickoff Show: Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson
It’s been a rough go for Gallows and Anderson since Wrestlemania. On that night in Orlando, the duo went into their tag team title defense under the impression that they’d be defending the belts against Sheamus and Cesaro and their now Payback opponents, Enzo and Big Cass. That all changed when The Hardy Boyz made a shocking return to the company and went on to win the RAW tag team titles from them. They were unsuccessful after invoking their rematch clause the following night on RAW and have only won one match since, a victory of Enzo and Cass on Apr. 17.
Enzo and Cass, however, have been scuffling of late, mostly due to the Enzo limitations as a worker. Add to that the fact that “Zo” got injured on the final RAW before Payback and it’s clear that road ahead of the tandem is a tough one. Sunday night they’ll have their hands full with a team that has been one of the best in the world for the better part of the past 5 years.
This match Sunday night will be about one thing: restoring The Club’s credibility as tag team title contenders. They’re too good to be toiling around on the lower mid-card and a decisive win at Payback will lift them out of that status. Throw in the fact that both of the teams battling for tag straps later in the night are both baby face duos, it’s not difficult to read the writing on the wall. The heels win, clean.
