SmackDown Women’s Championship Match
Naomi (c) vs. Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch

The look and feel of the SmackDown Women’s Division changed when Charlotte Flair arrived during the Superstar Shakeup. She added a presence unlike any seen on the Blue Brand, instantly becoming the top female star. It hasn’t led to a title reign yet, but somewhere down the line, this wouldn’t be surprising to see happen.

Naomi is in the midst of her second SmackDown Women’s Championship reign. She won the title at Elimination Chamber, but had to drop it just a week later due to injury. Upon return, though, the former Funkadactyl won it back at WrestleMania 33.

Then, there’s Becky Lynch. With Flair turning face, it leaves Lynch in an awkward spot. She had seemingly been the leading woman on SmackDown, but is potentially going to a secondary role. Might that warrant the heel turn we haven’t seen from the Irish Lass Kicker, except a brief time in NXT?

It’s hard to predict who will hold the SmackDown Women’s Championship by SummerSlam, but any of these three women seem like candidates. If WWE wants to give Naomi a lengthy reign, then it’s possible we see her as champion in Brooklyn, NY.
