WWE SummerSlam 2017: Match Card Projections After Payback

Seth Rollins vs. Bray Wyatt

Seth Rollins Rollins and Bray Wyatt are interesting cases. They’re both Superstars who have the potential for more, but are falling right now. Wyatt has been like this for most of his WWE career, while Rollins has struggled to find his footing as a babyface.

What worked in Rollins’ favor was Payback. He defeated Samoa Joe, gaining the upper hand after being injured by Triple H’s henchman in February. Their feud may still continue, but for now, the Architect has the momentum, especially after his WrestleMania 33 victory.

Wyatt won his House of Horrors match over Randy Orton at Payback. It wasn’t without help from Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers, however, which didn’t exactly make Wyatt look strong. This, in hindsight, gives him a “makeup” win from WrestleMania 33, but that had been for the WWE Championship. Sunday’s House of Horrors was not.

Will Rollins and Wyatt be fine when SummerSlam is here? That’s difficult to know, but they make for an interesting pairing. They haven’t feuded before on WWE TV, so it’s a fresh feud, something that the fans always crave. Whether this produces quality match is unknown, but it’s new.
