5. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar (& Seth Rollins) – WrestleMania 31

This was the match that made ‘Suplex City’ a famous expression. It also marked the first time a MITB briefcase was cashed in at WrestleMania, making doubly historic. But this match was about more than just history. It was a brutal match, first and foremost.

WWE clearly capitalized on Reigns’ (lack of) popularity, and so this match was basically an exercise in Lesnar destroying someone. 90% of the match, Lesnar manhandled Reigns in the same way as he had done to Cena at SummerSlam 2014. And the fans loved every minute of it.

Reigns did a fantastic job selling Lesnar’s vicious offense, and did whatever he could to make his limited offense count. Though Lesnar was more active during the match than Reigns, he still did a great job adding to the match’s drama.

While it might not be the fairest Reigns match in terms of both guys looking like equals, Reigns still managed to put on a fairly decent showing at WrestleMania. Of course, this match will be remembered more for Rollins’ and Lesnar’s actions, but Reigns still did what he needed to make this match enjoyable.

Recommended match.
