WWE Backlash 2017: Predicting the Full Match Card

WWE United States Championship Match
Kevin Owens (c) vs AJ Styles

When AJ Styles won a Triple Theat Match to become the No. 1 contender, it was tentitavly scheduled to be against then Champion, Kevin Owens. That was until he lost his championship to Chris Jericho at WWE Payback. It’s no secret that Chris Jericho’s day (for now) are numbered as he’s set to go on tour with his band. That being said, Jericho could drop the title as soon as Tuesday’s SmackDown Live, as he’s set for a rematch with KO.

With Owens recapturing the title, in this scenario, before Backlash the match between himself and Styles would be back on. If and when this match happens there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn’t main event Backlash or any other pay-per-view. Styles and Owens are two of the best wrestlers on the planet and having anyone go on after the would be borderline disrespectful.
