Highlights of the Division

In the main event of RAW, Bray Wyatt scored a huge victory over the Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose. Scoring non-title wins over Orton and Ambrose the past few weeks has turned the Eater of Worlds as a viable contender for the Universal Championship. It’ll be hard for him to move past the men above him in the rankings but he has an opportunity if he’s granted a match against Finn Balor. If Wyatt knocks off the former Universal champion, Kurt Angle might have to think twice about who should challenge Lesnar for the Universal Title.

Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns are looking for a rubber match since Strowman evened the series at Payback. Strowman should be the man to challenge Lesnar but Reigns was also supposed to face the Beast after retiring the Undertaker at WrestleMania. They might conclude their rivalry at Extreme Rules but look for Strowman to walk away the winner of that match-up. He’s the only man to match-up with Lesnar physically and that scenario must come to fruition.

Meanwhile, in the Rest of the Division

Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe are stuck in a feud that has no light at the end of the tunnel. Sure Rollins wants a title shot but all he has done was beat a part-time performer at WrestleMania and snuck a roll-up pin on Joe at Payback. He won’t leapfrog Reigns or Strowman for a title shot and his path to a championship shot won’t run through a pretender like Joe. The Samoan Destroyer had a strong start to the year but has lost a few match recently. He might be a world beater but his record doesn’t show it.

If Joe wants to be taken as a serious main event player on RAW, he must defeat the Architect—or he’ll just be known as Triple H’s puppet.

These are the rankings for the division this week.
