3. What Does Roman Reigns Do at Extreme Rules?

Roman Reigns – in the immediate aftermath of Strowman’s injury – is the one most affected. His program with the Monster Among Men looked like it was headed to Extreme Rules, potentially headlining the show. That likely won’t be the case now, especially if this 4-8 week timetable holds up.

At first glance, no one stands out for Reigns to feud with. Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor, Dean Ambrose, Miz, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins and the top tag teams are all involved in something. That doesn’t mean WWE is keeping their Next John Cena without something to do at Extreme Rules, however.

Expect Reigns to be given a feud for the upcoming show, whether it’s just a one-off or something that builds into a bigger program. That may warrant the shuffling of Wyatt vs. Balor, with the former standing out as a potential foe.

We’ve seen the Big Dog vs. the Eater of Worlds before, two summers ago. It ran from WWE Money in the Bank 2015 to Hell in a Cell 2015, resulting in Reigns getting the big win inside Hell in a Cell. If these two are going to battle again, then look for things to end in a similar fashion.
