Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox (w/ Noam Dar)

Result: Alicia Fox defeated Sasha Banks via pinfall

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Ah, we move into a rematch from last week in London. If you recall, Alicia Fox got her shoulder up before the three count, but the referee had his view obstructed so Sasha “stole” a victory. Tonight, Alicia brought backup in the form of Noam Dar – who did nothing but celebrate after the match.

It shouldn’t really be surprising, but it kinda was – this was a pretty good match. Foxy has survived that whole “Divas” era and come out on the other side with some decent talent. And Sasha is one of the most talented members of the roster. Put them together, and you can have good things. At very least, this was a step up from the first match last week.

What is surprising about this one was the finish – you give me three guesses, I don’t come up with “Alicia beats Sasha cleanly in the middle of the ring” here. That’s a good thing, I think – the best and most interesting matches are the ones where anyone can win at any time, and the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

The best thing about this finish – it opens the door for a variety of directions for both superstars, as well as the Women’s Division at large. Does Alicia work her way towards a title match at some point? Will this be the moment that makes Sasha snap and embrace the dark side?

If this gets us more Alicia Fox Northern Lights Suplexes, though, they can do whatever they want. That move is a thing of beauty.
