A Line in the Sand is Drawn

At Backlash, the trio of Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and Naomi is set to take on the Welcoming Committee. For those of you who don’t know, the Welcoming Committee members are Carmella, Natalya, and Tamina Snuka. Plus, the heel trio has one of the top superstars in WWE today; James Ellsworth. Together, the four plan on establishing themselves as top tier athletes and taking over SmackDown Live.

Before they get their chance at toppling the Women’s Division, the trio must first participate in a contract signing. All six women (and Ellsworth) will be involved in the segment, so you can basically guarantee a brawl is going to break loose. In that situation, it’d be a wise move to let the Welcoming Committee stand tall.

I honestly can’t see Becky Lynch, Charlotte, and Naomi being able to work cohesively to take down their opponents. This is especially apparent when you examine Charlotte’s character, and how she only cares about championship gold. That selfishness is an integral part of the woman we see every Tuesday night, and it isn’t likely that she’s abandoning her beliefs so quickly. While the Welcoming Committee is a serious threat, the former Women’s Champion will choose to steer away from the conflict.

During the tag team match this Sunday, odds are Charlotte is going to return to her heel status. The moment she pulls that trigger, her team’s chances of winning the contest are going to be nonexistent. Her actions will allow the Welcoming Committee to gain momentum, and it’ll let Naomi prepare for her next challenge.
