Reviewing Last Week’s Main Event

A recap of Itami vs. Roderick Strong from last week is shown. SAnitY’s beatdown of Strong, which happened after the match, also airs. The former ROH star said he wants SAnitY, so we’ll see where that goes.

Eric Young Promo

Young cuts a promo with SAnitY in the background. He says Strong wanting the group at TakeOver is crazy, and will grant this request for Saturday.

This stable is quality, but still has something missing. Whether it’s shedding the goofy faces in promos or a lack of a breakout moment, they need to stand out.

Hideo Itami Retrospective

We get a look back at Itami’s debut night in NXT, which came at NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way in Sept. 2014. It showed his name change and beatdown of The Ascension. He had immediately set his sights on the NXT Championship.

It’s unfortunate Itami hasn’t received his chance until now, but those injuries had derailed any potential opportunity.

WWE UK Tournament Retrospective

To hype Tyler Bate vs. Pete Dunne for TakeOver, a vignette is shown of their match from the WWE UK Tournament in January. There’s a chance these two put on the top match on Saturday, although they’re against stiff competition.

Patrick Clark Vignette

Another video is played for Clark as the “Velveteen Dream.” It seems like the exact flamboyant gimmick portrayed by him before.

Second Retrospective for Itami

A video is shown from a NXT live event on Mar. 27, 2015, where he faced Tyler Breeze. Remember those good ol’ days of NXT in late 2014 and throughout 2015? Disappointing that disappeared.

The end of the clip shows Itami hitting the GTS for the first time. He went down with a shoulder injury afterward, missing over one year of action.

Match Set for TakeOver

Strong vs. Young gets confirmed for NXT TakeOver: Chicago.
