If you try to interrupt Pete Dunne’s pre-NXT TakeOver: Chicago regiment, you’ll be sorry for yourself.
On Saturday night, Pete Dunne is going into one of the biggest matches of his short time with WWE and in his wrestling career. Dunne will take on Tyler Bate for the WWE United Kingdom Championship, which the former reached the finals for in January, but was unable to come out victorious.
Dunne reached this point by defeating Trent Seven at the UK Special, becoming the No. 1 Contender to the title. Bate then defeated Mark Andrews to officially set this match up.
Just a short time before TakeOver, NXT’s Kayla Braxton went to interview the Bruiserweight. However, as she learned, you can’t interrupt the guy’s pre-NXT TakeOver game planning. Otherwise, he’ll get in the middle of yours.
This smug attitude of Dunne’s has been on display since the UK Tournament. This saw him attack Sam Gradwell and get scolded by William Regal. Then, at the UK Special, Dunne did a pre-match attack on Seven and another to Andrews, who had just lost to Bate.

If Dunne can become the champion, he’d be just the second Superstar to hold the WWE UK Title. It would be a history-making performance for him, along with this being on a big stage for not only NXT, but the future of the WWE UK competitors.

So, it’s a lesson learned by everyone — do not interrupt Dunne before he takes to the ring. He’ll do this when TakeOver goes on the air at 8:00 p.m. ET on the WWE Network.
